Click to enlarge. As the "Salmon Capital of the World", Campbell River is a fishing paradise, boasting world-class sport fishing opportunities and an incredible array of salmon, including Chinook(King), Tyee, Coho(Silver) Sockeye and Pinks.

Freshwater fish are also popular in Campbell River and area; you can find Steelhead and Sea-run Cutthroats making their way down the river. Michael will be happy to book guides for salt or freshwater fishing.

Skiing and Hiking

Less than an hour's drive away from Susie's is the Mt. Washington Ski Resort. It has downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and snow-shoeing in the winter. Rigorous hiking and mountain biking are available in the summer. Click to enlarge.

For the shopper, Susie's location offers lots of bargain hunting. Antique stores, clothing stores and home decorating stores are all available. "City slickers" have all been pleasantly surprised by the depth and breadth of our "little area" on the Island. Complementing this is our close proximity to Courtenay and Comox.

Kingfisher Spa (an outstanding spa offering a multitude of treatments) is a wonderful place to wind down and relax after a grueling day of shopping.
